Animal Whimsey©
Animal Whimsey is a pet jewelry collection which has taken over 6 years to develop and is based on my family's true love for all animals. This art is a reflection of my inspiration derived from the whimsical characteristics I see in each type of breed or mix of breeds. Many pieces are based on combined memories and experiences with animals over decades. Never having had children, my pets have certainly taken their place.
I am amazed how each animal is unique not only in appearance within the same breed, but also with different personalities and ways of expressing their love and devotion. I created Animal Whimsey to animate these differences and express the twinkle I see in each animal’s eyes, while at the same time portraying some exaggerated physical characteristics that distinguish breeds apart from each other.
Each piece is individually carved in wax and cast in Sterling Silver using the lost wax casting process. They are then hand finished using a combination of sand blasting for texture and hand sanding and polishing to get the final results. Custom options such as adding gems or casting in gold are available. Please contact us directly for quotes.
